Plastisol is a suspension of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or other polymer particles in a liquid plasticizer. It is an exciting new polymer that provides both UV protection and anti-fungal properties for a wide range of applications in plastics. It is also used in the drying process for final manufacturing. Because plastisol has a high melt-to-lubrication ratio, it tends to produce very good lubrication with low-fat formulations, although some oil-based lubricants are sometimes more acceptable if they are mixed in with the polymer. It is also a good anti-fungal and antibacterial agent for curing yeast infections of all kinds.
